The River Thames at Chertsey, Surrey: Photos – WHB ©
Bare limbs against the furnace of the sky
The stillness of the river mirrors all
Winter holds court in autumn’s dying sigh
Bringing its own beauty to the ball
Beautiful~

“Bringing its own beauty to the ball”, what a beautiful line.
Like you I am fascinated by the ‘Lattice work’. of bare branches against the sky, be it blue backdrop or a flaming evening one like yours.
Love it Roland
