‘THAT LOVE MAY LIVE’ – A Story In Four Haikus
SADNESS
The heavens opened
On my hopes for sun and warmth
Leaving me bereft
DESPAIR
As the waters rose
So my spirits with them sank
I thought love lay lost
HOPE
But I was quite wrong
For Nature wove its magic
Showing me the truth
TRUTH
Look upon the rain
As summers need to renew
And keep love alive
Wonderful haikus, Roland! What a perfect connection to life and love!
Rain always brings me joy! I find life and renewal in it!
HUGS!!! 🙂

Nice ones, Roland. I love the face in the stained glass window: great and very uplifting.

Thanks for commenting, Roger. The stained glass is one of Edward Coley Burne-Jones’. Very Pre-Raphaelite.

Pre-Raph, indeed it is: Llandaff Cathedral has some fine colored glass from that period. Wonderful work.

I enjoyed these haikus Roland and how the headings create a pause and breath, then thread the haikus as one poem.
