WHEN I AM GONE

When I am gone
And you are left.
Be not afraid,
Be not bereft.

When you are old
And I am gone,
You’ll love the moon
That shines upon

My midnight grave,
Our place of tryst;
For though I’m gone
I still exist

In memory still;
The moon that shone
Upon our birth
Still shines for us

… when I am gone.

  1. Roland, a beautiful poem that carries calm and comfort with a very joint
    image of the Graveyard moon. Wonderful drawing.
    Your poem reminds me of ” Deat is nothing at all” by
    Canon Henry Scott-Holland, 1847-1918, Canon of St Paul’s Cathedral.

    I first heard it read by a young man who lost his wife. She had put this in his draw.
    We all do ponder and want to feel comforted.

  2. You actually make it appear really easy with your presentation however I in finding this topic to be actually one thing that I think I would by no means understand. It sort of feels too complex and extremely wide for me. I’m taking a look forward for your next put up, I will attempt to get the dangle of it!
